Darrang DC issues order to hold Gram Sabha

MANGALDAI: Darrang Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ghanashyam Dass, to ensure preparation of an error-free electoral roll for all the four LACs of the district, vide an order has asked all the Booth-level Officers (BLO) to arrange for Gram Sabha, both in rural and urban areas of their respective polling stations at 2 pm on February 11.

He also instructed all the BLOs to read out the part concerned of the electoral roll published on February 6 and to take necessary arrangements for getting the names of those electorates included in the electoral roll if their names have not been included in the electoral roll published on February 6. In this order, the Deputy Commissioner also instructed all the Electoral Registration Officers to continue the process of continuous updation of electoral rolls in their respective areas.
