DC orders refilling of coal pits

SHILLONG, Feb 15: Taking a tough stance towards preventing the illegal coal mining inside Rongrenggre Reserve Forest, the Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills District, Williamgar had given an order to refill the coal pits. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner, East Garo HillsDistrict, Williamgar had issued a circular wherein, Mr. Tennystar R Marak, Executive Magistrate, East Garo HillsDistrict, Williamgar, had been entrusted tocarry out the order with effect from February 16, stated a press release.
