DC reviews Aruchal Festival preparations

Itagar, Feb 11:  A coordition meeting to review and discuss preparation of the Aruchal Festival 2016 was held with the various committees and sub committees formed for the Festival in the chamber of Capital Complex DC Sandeep Kumar Singh here on Wednesday.

“The festival of Aruchal 2016 would commemorate 30 years of statehood, so the celebration should be grand,” said the DC as he asked all the committees to work in coordition with each other.

Singh further insisted them to include special elements and come up with innovative ideas to mark the Statehood Day celebrations a memorable one. He also briefed the committee members on their duties and responsibilities, a press release informed here today. The members also presented their views, suggestion and the shortcomings that they face while performing their duties.

Continuing with the spirit of Clean Aruchal Campaign, Singh further stressed that every stall should have its own dustbins and further asked the CMEO Habung Lampung to oversee the garbage magement system at IG Park.

He also directed Deputy SP T K th to deploy adequate security in the park and also asked him to conduct frequent sensitization programme so that the security forces could be properly briefed on any kind of law and order situation.

The DC also directed the SP to work out a proper traffic advisory for the street pageant which would be held simultaneously at harlagun on February 21 and 22 next.

Singh further directed the Chairman of the Exhibition Committee EAC M Padung Doke to ensure participation of various sectors including Government Departments, NGOs, local entrepreneurs etc in the event.

The Chairman of the Food and Hospitality Committee Likha Sampu was also asked to come up with a uniform rate for all the items in the menu, the release added.
