Golaghat, July 6: The District Development Committee meeting was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Golaghat on Friday. Presiding over the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra reviewed the progress of all ongoing developmental schemes of various departments underway in the district. The Deputy Commissioner asked all department officials to ensure early completion of all schemes, laying special thrust on road connectivity and construction of Individual Household Latrines under the Swachh Bharat Mission. He also reviewed the steps taken for safety of animals at Kaziranga National Park, including construction of highlands.

Issues related to mid-day meals, illegal liquor, Swayem, loan disbursement to beneficiaries, implementation of GST, etc., were discussed in the meeting. He also asked all departments concerned to gear up for the flood season and asked the officials to remain alert at all times.

District Development Commissioner Bandana Dutta Tamuly, Additional Deputy Commissioner Orpah Baglari, SDO (c), Dhansiri, Bipul Das, SDO (c), Bokakhat, Vivek Shyam, heads and officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
