Tinsukia District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) conducts familiarization exercise

TINSUKIA, July 17: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Tinsukia, in collaboration with 12Bn NDRF Team, organized a familiarization exercise at Guijan High School, Guijan Gaon, Tinsukia on Monday and at Natun Rongagorah Milan Sangha, Natun Rongagorah Gaon, Tinsukia on Tuesday. The DPO DDMA, Tinsukia, Field Officer Disaster Management, gaon burahs, students, teachers and villagers were present in the exercise. The NDRF team showcased various first aid and safety measures along with various improvised rescue techniques among students and the village community which can be adopted during the occurrence of any disaster like flood, fire and earthquake. A cleanliness drive was also conducted prior to the exercise where all the students and community members actively participated, stated a DIPR Tinsukia press release.
