District Disaster Management Authority organizes 13-day long familiarization exercise in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA, July 19: A 13-day long Familiarization Exercise (FAMEx) organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Tinsukia with 12Bn NDRF began in Tinsukia district from July 16. In the first phase it was organized at Guijan High School, Guijan gaon on Monday followed by Nutan Rongagora Milan Sangha on Tuesday. The DPO DDMA Tinsukia , FODM, gaon burah, students, teachers and villagers were present in the exercise.

The NDRF team showcased various first-aid and safety measures along with other improvized rescue techniques among students and village community which can be adopted and followed during actual occurrence of any disaster. A cleanliness drive was also conducted prior to the exercise where all the students and community members actively participated.
