DDPTA raises issue of proportiote transfer

DULIAJAN, APRIL 19: A group of teachers under the umbrella of Dibrugarh District Primary Teachers’ Association (DDPTA) met State Education Minister Sarat Borkotoky at Circuit House, Dibrugarh recently regarding the issue of proportiote transfer of teachers in Dibrugarh district.

They appraised the minister about the problems faced by many teachers due to transfer to schools situation far away from their homes, lack of proper transportation and medium change. Borkotoky assured the teachers that the problems related to proportiote transfer would be addressed soon.

Ajit Khanikor, Nilakshi Gogoi, Prasanta Saikia, Ashok Majumder and Arun Handique were in the meeting with the minister, said Luhit Saikia, secretary of DDPTA.
