Deadline for tax payment issued by Kamrup District Transport Officer

GUWAHATI: Kamrup District Transport Officer (DTO) Gautam Das has asked all private and commercial vehicle owners to pay road tax, renewal tax for road permits etc by March 31, 2019. He said that if the taxes are not paid by the deadline set by him, the vehicles owners will have to face search and pay late fines. In a statement issued to the press on Saturday, Das said: “Revenue amounting to Rs 29,22,80,862 has been collected in 2017-18. Till March 14 this fiscal, revenue amounting to Rs 28,64,47,652 has been collected.”
