GUWAHATI, Dec 27: Debanga Borkotoky and Rishav Brahma, both from Jorhat, along with Tutu Thapa of NF Railway got double crown in the 24th Jorhat Open Tennis Championship which concluded at Jorhat Tennis Club today. Debanga won the titles in the girls U-14 and 18 years singles while Rishav bagged double crown in boys U-14 singles and doubles category. On the other hand Tutu Thapa won the men’s singles and doubles titles on way to earn double crown in the championship. Fil results: Boys U-12 (singles) - Debanga P. Hazarika (GLT) beat Raktim Gogoi (SIV) 6-1,6-0. Boys U-14 (singles ) Rishav Brahma (JHT) beat Jishnu Baruah (GHY), 6-3,6-2, Boys U-18 (singles)- Mash P. Kuli (SIV) beat Satyam Goswami (NRL) 6-2,6-1.Girls U-14 (singles) Debanga Borkotoky (JHT) beat Eva Raj Shah (GHY) 6-1,6-4, Girls U-18 (singles)-Debanga Borkotoky (JHT) beat Bresh Khan (GHY) 7-5, 6-3, Boys U-14 (doubles) Rishav Brahma (JHT) and Ayandeep Baruah (JHT) beat Jishnu Baruah (GHY) and Swagat Baruah (JHT) 6-1,6-1, Men’s singles- Tutu Thapa (NF Railway) beat Sudhanta Mohanty (GHY) 6-3,6-1, Men’s doubles- Tutu Thapa (NF Railway) and Rajesh Baruah (JHT) beat Sudhanta Mohanty (GHY) and Sidhant Deka (GHY) 6-2,6-2. Men’s veteran’s doubles Dr Diganta Konwar (NRL) and Dilip Somani (JHT) beat Jiten Mishra (JHT) and Gopal Singhi (JHT) 7-5, 6-1.
