Demand for completion of model girls’ hostel under RMSA scheme

HAMREN, Feb 21: The 100-bedded model girls’ hostel being constructed under RMSA scheme at Deithor Higher Secondary School located within the Nilip development block, is lying incomplete. According to sources, Rs. 1.34 crore has been sanctioned for construction of the 100-bedded model girls’ hostel, out of which 65 per cent money has been withdrawn already, in relation to which only 61 per cent of the physical work was shown completed. The actual date of completion of the building was April 30, 2016, added sources. In Karbi Anglong district there are nine educatiol blocks. In every block the same type of building was constructed and all the other buildings have been completed accordingly. The buildings are ready for iuguration, informed an official. But the 100-bedded model girls’ hostel constructed at Deithor Higher Secondary School remains incomplete. The conscious people of Deithor have demanded immediate completion of the model girls’ hostel building by the contractor, and have also requested the higher authority of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) to intervene and order its completion.
