Demand to close down paramedical institute in Jorhat

Jorhat, June 23: Ga Adhikar Sangram Samiti has demanded to immediately close down the Central Institute of Paramedical Technology at AT Road in Jorhat as it is not recognized by the medical council and the University Grants Commission also.
Ga Adhikar Sangram Samiti submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Jorhat on Thursday demanding that the institute should be closed down. In a press release, Ga Adhikar Sangram Samiti president Bishnu Gogoi and general secretary Sanjoy Krish Tanti stated that a group of students has lodged a written complaint against this institute at Jorhat Sadar police station last month. They said that police had been registered a case I.P.C 468,471 against case number 859 against the authority of this institute.
