Demand to repair Dhai Ali road in Charagua
From a Correspondent
DEMOW, May 10: The busy Dhai Ali of Charagua is in a pathetic and dilapidated condition since a long time. There are many potholes in the road due to which the people of the village are facing serious problems. The Dhai Ali connects to Sivasagar town and students along with government and non-government employees face serious problems for communication. On the other hand, 70 per cent people of the area sell milk and fish to earn their livelihood. People of 10 villages use this road for their daily business. The Sivasagar Public Works Department (PWD) and the zira subdivision have not repaired the road since a long time. Under the leadership of Akhim Borah, president and Midhut Makh Dutta, secretary of Charagua Primary Students’ Union, a memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sivasagar on Monday where they demanded that the road should be repaired immediately without delay.
