Demand to sack State Education Minister

From a Correspondent

MARGHERITA, Feb 21: Ahom Se president Chao Biplob Gogoi and publicity secretary Chao Sailen Gogoi have demanded Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal to sack State Education Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and to remove SEBA chairman RC Jain immediately for all the anomalies in the conduct of the 2017 HSLC exam.

Chao Sailen Gogoi said that in Baksa, instead of question papers of Mathematics, the students got question papers of Assamese and in Hojai, instead of question papers of Mathematics, students got question papers of Social Science. Also, in an examition centre there was no electricity supply and students wrote their answers under candle light.  He alleged that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma was a vested interest person and an opportunist who wanted to spoil the future of students.

“Again, during the Congress regime, Assam Women University was established in Jorhat but was not completed and the BJP-led government of Assam had not any interest to complete it. We demand that Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal should immediately look into the matter seriously and provide all facilities in Assam Women University,” said Chao Biplob Gogoi and Chao Sailen Gogoi.
