Demise of AGP leader mourned

Dibrugarh, Feb 27: The founder president of Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) Dibrugarh Town Committee, Apurba Kumar Phukan, who was also a former leader of the Assam Agitation, breathed his last on Sunday. In a condolence meeting held at the District AGP office on Monday, the members of the AGP Town Committee observed a one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul and also conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the grief-stricken family members. In a press communique, the president and secretary, Dipom Baruah and Ulem Ahmed respectively, stated that their party would remain ever grateful to Apurba Kumar Phukan for his selfless service to AGP Town Committee.
