Demow Businessman Bishnu Das passes away

DEMOW: Bishnu (Bhai) Das, a resident of Demow Kushal Path and a businessman, died on Monday morning in Dibrugarh. According to sources, on June 15 morning, Bishnu (Bhai) Das, Mintu Shungrung and Prabhat Khanikar, a resident of Santipur, went to Arunachal Pradesh. While returning from Arunachal Pradesh, the Bolero car in which they were travelling had a tyre puncture near Bogibeel and while the tyre was being changed, from the opposite direction a Traveller car came and hit the Bolera car at a high speed.

Bishnu Das was seriously injured and both legs of Mintu Shungrung was broken. The police, which were on duty in Bogibeel, immediately took both of them to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh. Due to the serious condition of Bishnu Das, he was admitted to a private hospital in Dibrugarh. After 10 days of treatment, Bishnu Das died on Monday morning in Dibrugarh. Bishnu Das' demise has been widely condoled in the area. He leaves behind his wife, a girl and a host of relatives.
