Deplorable condition of NH-37, AASU stages protest

AASU activists blocked the NH-37 for two hours and demanded immediate repair of the road

JOYSAGAR, Oct 18: In protest against the deplorable condition of the NH-37 in Sivasagar from Jhanji to Demow, AASU, Jhanji Jamuguri Regiol Committee staged a protest on Tuesday at the Jamuguri area.

AASU activists blocked the NH-37 for two hours and demanded M/S Raghuraj Construction Co. Ltd to immediately repair the road as the company was in charge of repairing as sub-contractor of the four-lane tiol highway construction work.

Besides, on Tuesday, AASU Mathurapur Regiol Committee also staged a protest in Dhudar Ali of Sivasagar. AASU Mathurapur Committee demanded repair of the busy Sivasagar-Sori-mrup via mtola PWD Road, known as the historic Dhodar Ali. AASU vice-president Manik Gogoi and secretary Anupjyoti Bhuyan also submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Sori SDO, RH Hazarika.
