Deputy Commissioner Headed A Meeting On District Road Safety in Golaghat District, Assam

Golaghat, July 24: A meeting of the District Road Safety Committee was held recently at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The meeting which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra discussed several issues related to road safety in Golaghat district. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the departmental officials to form a joint verification team to identify road accident black spots in the district. He also lauded the drive against e-rickshaws carried out by officials of the District Transport Office along with district administration officials and asked the DTO Manoj Choudhury to intensify the drive in the coming days. Superintendent of Police, Manabendra Dev Ray, who was also present in the meeting, said there is the need to identify such spots and take remedial measures so that no lives are lost in the future.
