Derek O’Brien now Trimool's chief tiol spokesperson

 Kolkata, March 19: The Trimool Congress has appointed Rajya Sabha member Derek O’Brien as its chief tiol spokesperson, the party announced on Thursday. The Trimool also brought in parliamentarians Saugata Roy, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and Sukhendu Sekhar Roy as its new tiol spokespersons, the party posted on its website.

O’Brien and Dastidar were earlier, in a major rejig, elevated to the tiol Committee of the party. Both have been med as tiol joint secretaries as well. O’Brien, whose stock has been rising fast in the Trimool since erstwhile tiol general secretary Mukul Roy fell out of favour with party supremo Mamata Banerjee and was stripped of all posts, is also now the leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha.
