Devastating fire at mdang TE, Tengapani Forest Reserve

MARGHERITA, Feb 13: Tension prevailed in Margherita following a devastating fire at mdang Tea Estate and Tengapani Forest Reserve area on Sunday night which falls under Margherita West Range Forest Office of Digboi Forest Division. According to sources, some people came at Tengapani Forest Reserve area for picnic but unfortutely they did not put out the fire which they had lit, due to which the fire spread to the entire reserve forest area and mdang Tea Estate. Margherita Fire Brigade and Margherita Police filly maged to douse the flames.
