Devastating storm kills one

Joysagar, May 21: Five female tea garden workers of Bamunpukhuri Tea Estate under Nazira Police Station received serious injuries after they were caught in a storm while returning home from work. The storm uprooted a tree which fell on the labourers and one of them, Anjali Bhumij (40) died on the spot, while the others were admitted to Nazira subdivisional hospital by local people. Besides, many huts were also destroyed in the heavy rainfall and storm.
