Devvarman rises to World No.177

New Delhi, Dec 28: Somdev Devvarman moved up three places to be ranked No.177 in the latest Association of Tennis Professiols (ATP) men’s singles rankings released on Monday. His compatriots Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni stayed at Nos.93 and 170 respectively. In men’s doubles, Rohan Bopan, Leander Paes and Purav Raja all maintained their spots at No.9, 41 and 93 respectively. In women’s singles, Ankita Rai was up a place to No.263 but Prer Bhambri slid a spot to 417. In women’s doubles, reigning Wimbledon champion Sania Mirza continues to rule the standings at the top. Prartha Thombare, however, saw her biggest rise, by climbing 32 positions to be ranked No.265. IANS
