DGP takes stock of security measures for PM's visit

GAURISAGAR, February 2: Preparation is on to host the 85th annual conference of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha at the historoic Rupahi Pather Sahityarathi Samannoy Kshetra, Sivasagar from February 4 to February 7.

 On the second day of the conference, Prime Minister rendra Modi will be present as a chief guest. On this occasion Sivasagar district administration as well as the police administration took stock of the security.

Mukush Sahai, Director General of Police (DGP), Assam on Tuesday visited the conference ground and discussed with the police administration and reception committee about the security of the Prime Minister. To assist the police personnel, 350 volunteers of Sewa Bahini of Songha in Sivasagar district were imparted training by Debasis Sarmah, Additiol Deputy Superintendent of Police (Security), Sivasagar.  Tomorrow 150 volunteers of Sewa Bahini of Dibrugarh district will be provided training.
