Dhekiajuli Book Fair from January 6

Dhekiajuli, Dec 26: Commemorating the Dhekiajuli Press Club’s silver jubilee celebration, the Dhekiajuli Press Club will organize the Dhekiajuli Book Fair at the Dhekiajuli Swahid Moidan Campus for the second successive year from January 6.
In this regard a celebration committee was formed noted social worker, senior jourlist and former Headmaster of Dhekiajuli Boys’ High School, Ramesh Chandra Borah was selected as the celebration committee president and Bhagaban Baishya as its secretary.
The book fair will be iugurated by former Axam Xahitya Xabha president Lakhshmindan Borah. Dr Swadhita Mahanta, Sonitpur Zila Sahitya Sabha president and Tezpur Zila Boro Sahitya Sabha president Lila Dhar Boro will participate as chief guest. An art competition will be held among students on the same day.
On January 7 the Dhekiajuli Press Club Flag will be hoisted, followed by floral tribute to jourlists who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the country. A cultural procession will brought out and the programme will be attended by the Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner.
The silver jubilee programme will be iugurated by jourlist Dilip Kumar Hazarika. Noted litterateur Haidar Hussain and editor of Dainik Purbadoi , Rabishankar Rabi and Executive Editor of Niyamia Barta, Ashyut Kumar Patuary will be the chief guests of the programme.
On January 8, the Haricharan Memorial Speech competition will be held which will be delivered by jourlist Hemanta Barman on the topic ‘The Role of jourlists in keeping commul harmony and its development’. On January 11 the silver jubilee celebration programme will come to an end.
