DHSK College team to attend budget session

From our Staff Correspondent
Dibrugarh, Feb 8:  For the first time in its glorious 70 years of existence, the students and faculty members of DHSK College have an opportunity to witness the proceeding of the budget session of the Assam Assembly under State Government’s new initiative Exposure visit.   According to Principal, Dr Sasi Kanta Saikia, all total 25 students, two teachers along with three health workers left for Guwahati  on Wednesday in order  to attend the session.  The Additiol Deputy Commissioner, Ankur Bharali, on behalf of the district administration, while wishing  them a happy journey, hoped that  the students would acquire first-hand knowledge about the functioning of Assembly and other experience by attending the Assembly session.   Expressing similar thought, the Principal of the college, Dr Saikia said that the visit would help them to garner knowledge about the system and procedure of assembly. He thanked Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal and Speaker Hiten Goswami for offering such an opportunity to the students which would, he felt, help students to think positively.  Dr Saikia later informed that the team, during the visit, would meet the Chief Minister and the Speaker of the assembly and would have an interactive session with them.
