Diabetic association holds convocation

SHILLONG, June 3: The Meghalaya Diabetes Association in collaboration with the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), New Delhi, today organized the convocation of PHFI’s ‘Certificate Course in Evidence Based Diabetes Magement’ (CCEBDM) at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Hall in the city. The programme was attended by Meghalaya Governor V Shanmugathan as Chief Guest. The programme witnessed the attendance of over 200 doctors, general practitioners, bureaucrats, policy makers and distinguished citizens from North East India. A total of 24 convocation certificates were handed over to the successful doctors by the Governor who also iugurated the website of the Meghalaya Diabetes Association on the occasion. The Governor also interacted with the doctors and physicians. He also lauded the physicians involved in reducing diabetes related cases.
