Dibrugarh records 69.62 pass percentage, Salt Brook School shines yet again

Dibrugarh, May 31: The Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) results, 2016, which were declared on Tuesday, brought immense pride and glory to the district. A total number of 15,362 students appeared in the HSLC examition, out of which 2,826 students got first division, 3,996 students got second division while 3,874 students got third division. The total number of students who passed in the district is 10,695, and the total pass percentage is 69.62 per cent.
Excelling in the results declared on Tuesday, the students of St. Xavier’s School earned glory for the school as Swagat Gogoi attained the second position in the entire State. Notably, a total of 106 students had appeared for the HSLC examition out of which 100 students got first division and five students got second division. The overall pass percentage of the school turned out to be 100 per cent with distinction holders being – 34, Star Marks holders – 34 and 101 students got letter marks.
The hub of merit and brilliance education, Salt Brook School, in yet another remarkable accomplishment, achieved success with 10 students of the school earning rank positions in the matriculation results. Outstandingly, Ayon Phukan (6th) with 582 marks ; Ankita Choudhury (9th ) with 577 marks ; Angad Borchetia (10th) with 576 marks ; Abhiv Phukan ( 11th ) with 575 marks ; Suryavijay Kar (10th ) with 575 marks ; Mouryadeep Gogoi (14th ) with 572 marks ; Madhuryya Kakoti (15th) with 571 marks ; Anubhav Chaliha (16th) with 570 marks ; Swapneel Dowerah (17th ) with 569 marks ; and Jayshree Handique (20th ) with 566 marks, secured positions in the HSLC results.
All the rank holders, while extending gratitude to their alma mater, teachers, parents and well wishers, expressed pleasure and satisfaction on their success. They hoped to pursue their higher education with equal dedication and sincerity in near future.
Moreover, the students of Little Flower School also brought delight to their institution as five rank positions were secured by students in the State. The students who earned these positions are Abhipsha Bharadwaj- 4th ; Nikita Ghosh – 9th ; Kalyani Emon Gogoi- 13th ; Rayashree Amin – 13th and Preyashi Goswami, being the achievers of this year’s matriculation examition from the school.
Similarly, two students of St. Mary’s School grabbed two positions in the HSLC examition with Bandita Phukan in 13th position, and Antara Phukan in 16th position earning fame for their school.
Likewise, Suraj Jyoti Dutta in 12th position and Wajahat Yusuf in 20th position, of Don Bosco School, made their institution proud by performing brilliantly in the HSLC results.
Sankardev Vidya Niketan School too grabbed the news as Olimpriya Gogoi, a student of the school holding the 17th position in the State.
The results of the other schools of the district are as such - BVFC Model School – Rajashree Das (6th ) and Gitashree Saikia( 15th ) ; BVFC HS School – Diksha Priyom Sonowal (8th ) ; Jessica Baruah ( 16th ) and Nilutpal Saikia (19th ); St. Xavier’s Duliajan – Mrinmoyee Bora ( 8th); Rajgarh Academic Centre – Riju Upadhaya (13th ) ; Oil India, Duliajan – Pallav Jyoti Borsaikia (14th ); New Star School, Rajgarh – Karan Singh Virdi (15th) and Debasish ndi (17th); and harkatia H.S. School – Sistri Chaliha (17th ).
