Dibrugarh University to host techno cultural festival

DIBRUGARH, May 6: A meeting of Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) faculty members and core committee of Auxesis v 6.0 was held here on May 5 at the conference hall of core building of DUIET, Dibrugarh University.

The meeting which was chaired by the Director of DUIET, Dr Mukul C Bora was attended amongst others by the Assistant Professor, Dept of Mathematics DUIET and Faculty Convener Auxesis v 6.0, Niranjan Bora, student convener of Auxesis v 6.0, Himangshu Das and president and secretary of Post Graduate Students’ Union, DU, deliberated on the aims and objectives of the upcoming events of Auxesis, the techno cultural mega festival.

The faculty convener of Auxesis v 6.0 , Niranjan Bora, put forwarded a brief sketch of the proposed events lined up for this year which will embody the true spirit of all the students of DUIET, stated the student convener.

Later, student convener Himangshu Das spoke on the specific areas in which the core team faces difficulties in organizing the mega techno - cultural event. He further added that a cultural rally is scheduled to be held for showcasing the ethnic indigenous cultures of our state, for highlighting the vastness of our different traditions.

Dr Mukul C Bora, Director DUIET, talking about the event said that the event would try to bring together the various cultures of North East; efforts would be made to provide a platform for presentation of technical events like Autobots, Robo Assault etc.

Dr Bora while talking about last year’s event lapses, gave full assurance of taking all essential steps to check the occurrence of any untoward incident, by increasing more vigil in the security area. He hoped that this event creates a milestone in the history of the University and positive message should be transmitted to the society.
