Dibrugarh varsity results: DR College shines

Golaghat, July 10: Dibrugarh University (DU) declared the BA , B.Sc and B.Com sixth semester results on Monday. Golaghat’s prestigious higher education institution Debraj Roy College showed satisfactory performance. In both Arts and Science stream of Debraj Roy College, several students secured positions among the top 10 positions under the university.

As per the results of the Arts stream, three students from Philosophy Department of the college secured ranks among the top 10. They are Uddipo Bora with first class first position, Karabi Bora with first class fifth position and Moumi Bora with first class seventh position.

In English, Debashish Bhuyan secured first class second position. Similarly, in Education, Mayuri Gogoi bagged first class sixth position, Lekhashree Dowerah secured first class ninth position and Kabyashree Bora secured first class tenth position. The pass percentage in Arts Stream is 71.29 per cent. On the other hand, in the Science stream of the college, two students mely Ashish Dutta and Aditya Gogoi from Zoology Department secured first two positions in the university with distinction. In Botany also, Jadumoni Saikia secured first class first position. In Chemistry, Sourav Borgohain bagged first class second position and Meghd Kalita bagged first class fifth position.

In Mathematics, Kishalaya Phukan secured first class fifth position. The pass percentage in Science stream of Debraj Roy College is 66 per cent. Principal Dr. Putul Chandra Saikia congratulated all the rank holders and wished them a bright future.
