Digital India Week Celebration At The Office of Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M)

GUWAHATI: The 4th Anniversary of Digital India was celebrated with pomp and splendor at the Office of The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kamrup Metropolitan District on Monday at the Conference Hall. At the outset DC Biswajit Pegu, delivered a speech on the brief history of implementation of Digital India programme in Kamrup Metropolitan District. In the meeting, six employees of Kamrup Metro District Administration were felicitated for their significant contributions for making Digital India a success. After that a small presentation on Digital India was shared by Barnali Patgiri, Senior Systems Analyst & ADIO, NIC with the dignitaries. A small film prepared by Pulakesh Bharali, District Manager, CSC on the various activities carried out on Digital India during last four years was also shown. At the end, Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ratul Pathak, ADC (e-Gov) elaborated on various steps taken for continuing the programme with increasing scope of implementation.

Digital India Week is being celebrated all over India and in the state as well. The programme is celebrated in the State BJP head quarters also in association with the BJP’s IT- Social Media department from July 1 to 7, 2019. Moreover, BJP party organized a weeklong celebration in various areas of the city, where various informative ideas will be shared.

It is to be noted that in a separate programme in the State BJP Head office, the monthly magazine of the party BJP Barta was inaugurated. Party President Ranjit Kumar Dass and Senior BJP Leader Tapan Choudhury, among others were present during the event.
