Dima Hasao DC seeks people's cooperation for development

HAFLONG, May 7: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dima Hasao,  Ms Juri Phukan has sought people’s cooperation in maintaining peace ensuring development in the district. Phukan while discussing with the members of the Haflong Press Club has reveled this.

The members Haflong Press Club met the Deputy Commissioner at her office chamber today to felicitate her .

The press team comprising Sri Surjya Thaosen, Sri L K Heg, Sri Samsul Alom, Sri Biplob Deb and Sri Anup Biswas discussed with the Deputy Commissioner regarding  ensuring peaceful environment along with the different development activities.

While giving patient hearing, Ms Phukan said ‘she wants to do something for the rural and under privileged people in true sense because she has come to work’.

She expressed her concern over yesterday’s road mishap and  the increasing number of auto and other vehicles which reported to be run without proper papers and instructed the police to take stern action against such violation. She also disclosed  that she had a meeting with the concerned authorities and instructed to find out means and ways to channelize the systems so that none can violate the traffic rules.

Sri Surjya Thaosen, vice president of Haflong Press Club while appreciating the recent step taken by the DC in regards to the blockade of works of BG and Mahasarak said the media fraternity of Dima Hasao in particular has always been extending cooperation with the district administration.
