Diphu book fair begins

Hojai, Feb 6: The 1st Singkiri Edu cum Book Fair, held with a five-day programme, began at Diphu Club on Friday. The fair was organized by Singkiri Education Foundation, Diphu. Iugurating the fair, Amalash Bhawal, Pro Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Diphu campus (AUDC) said Diphu has progressed much in terms of education percentage.  During the five-day event, activities like drawing and painting, competition for schools children, career counseling, book fair, extempore speech, inter school debate competition and others will be held.  The Iugural function was chaired by Chandrasing Kro, president of Karbi Cultural Society and attended by UB Pandey, former Principal of Diphu Govt. College and writer Pobitra Bora.
