Disaster magement training in lbari

lbari, Dec 24: A training programme on disaster magement exercise was organised by the District Disaster Magement Authority in collaboration with State Disaster Magement Authority (SDMA) at lbari town from December 19 to 23.

The exercise was designed to harness the strengths and capabilities of the different departments that would be responsible for carrying out the emergency response mechanism in an event of a disaster.

The lbari Emergency Magement Exercise had involved 8 nos of training track, one table top exercise and mock drill. More than five hundred  participants that comprised doctors, paramedical staff, engineers, teachers, municipal staff, ICDS staff, Police, Community members and volunteers participated in various programme of emergency  magement exercise at various locations like AMSA building, IMA building, lbari Girls’ High School, M.N.C. Girls College, conference Halls of SP office, Govt. Gurdon H.S. School, lbari Hari Mandir etc.

The Iugural function was held at the premises of lbari Harimandir which was attended by Dr. Bhumidhar Barman, Sate Revenue and Disaster Magement Minister.

Mock drill was conducted on December 23 at 11 a.m. in Govt. Gurdon HS School and Borkura Chowk.
