Dispur forms panel for allotment of quarters

GUWAHATI, June 24: Dispur has constituted a committee to look after allotment of various government quarters in the State. The committee, headed by the GAD Secretary as its chairman and the GAD joint secretary as member secretary, has PWD (Building) estate officer, the president/general secretary of the Assam Secretariat Service Association, and  the president/general secretary of the Assam Secretariat Grade IV Employees’ Association as members. The committee, according to official sources, will expedite the allotment process of vacant government quarters in various complexes like Capital Complex, Super Market Complex, HUDCO Complex, tboma Housefed Complex, Jawahargar Housefed Complex and Games Village meant for Grade II, Grade III and Grade IV employees of Assam Secretariat with immediate effect until further order. The committee will sit at least once every month and recommend allotment of quarters as per the norms and guidelines prescribed by the Government.
