FROM A CORRESPONDENT
Agartala, June 14: The Chief Justice T Vaipee and Justice S C Das bench of Tripura High Court has issued a show cause notice to the state government by asking the reasons behind not redrawing the areas of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). The petitioner said, “My village is unlawfully included in TTAADC area by violating the directives inscribed in the TTAADC Act 1979.” “Villages with more than 50 per cent tribal people are eligible for inclusion TTAADC area. But my Aparashkar village has only 38.08 per cent tribal people. Due to that inclusion the villagers have facing many difficulties,” he further said.By demanding a fresh demarcation he said that villages hardly having tribal population were also included in TTAADC area.
