Divisiol youth committee of NFRMY Rangiya formed

Bongaigaon, Feb 19: “Unlike any other organization, youths are the backbone of North East Frontier Railway Mazdoor Union and the youth power will rise against the anti-labour policy of the BJP-led Central Government. We warn the government that if it does not stop conspiring against the labour class people for the interest of corporate houses, the government will face the consequences,” said Rakhal Das Gupta, president of All India Railwaymen’s Federation on Sunday in Chaygaon where the 6th Divisiol Youth Convention of NFRMU Rangiya division and first annual general meeting of NFRMU Chaygaon branch was held together with a day-long programme.

The programme started with flag hoisting by Subhash Bhagawati, president of Chaygaon branch NFRMU, which was followed by tribute paying to martyrs. Pijush Chakraborty, joint general secretary of NFRMU who also attended programme, said that iuguration of the new building of NFRMU Chaygaon branch was done by Rakhal Das Gupta. “The main open meeting was presided over by Ramani Barman, president of NFRMU where several noted persons including Samir Chakraborty, joint secretary, Phanidhar Das and Susen Hazarika, AGS, NFRMU, youth leader Hiren Deka, Pabitra Barman and many others spoke. The youth convention was iugurated by Hiren Deka, zol secretary of NFRMU Youth. In this convention, the divisiol youth committee for the session 2017-18 was formed with Biswajit Das as president and Noferuddin Ahmed as secretary. The branch committee of Chaygaon branch was also formed here where Subhash Bhagawati became president and Barjit th was selected secretary,” he said.
