Don't allow Pul a place in BJP: Manyu

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

Itagar, Dec 29: Anjaw district unit BJP President Soney Manyu has appealed central as well as state party leaders of BJP not to allow tainted and corrupted leaders like Kalikho Pul a place in the party.

His appeal came in the wake of recent political stalemate in the state and apparent chances of Pul merging to BJP by defecting the Indian tiol Congress.

Alleging Pul of gross anomalies and misappropriation of government fund in Anjaw, Manyu said that the former minister during his tenure as minister has been engaged in self-development rather than constituency development. “He (Pul) was one of the most corrupted ministers in the successive congress regime in the state but his misdeed couldn’t surface due to his manipulation and under table settlement with the finger pointers. His recent voice clip that has been doing the round which significantly proves his malicious intentions to dislodge the ethnic harmonious relation between two communities is highly condemble,” a statement from Manyu said.

“By dishonouring a particular community putting derogatory remarks is nothing but a serious attempt to create disharmony and spread hatred between two communities. If at all in any eventuality or future consequence as a result of the aftermath of such condemble act, Pul should be made solely responsible and answerable to both the communities. As for the one against which the commul remarks has been made and other for taking it granted undermining the repercussion,” he added.

Manyu further reiterated his party leaders not to entertain such leaders in BJP who have been playing political cards in commul lines.
