Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan inaugurated in Golaghat

Golaghat, July 7: State Tourism and WPT and BC Minister Chandan Brahma inaugurated the Dr. BR Ambedkar Bhavan in Golaghat on Sarurday.

Inaugurating the Bhavan, the minister said the building would serve as a guest house and community hall for various social functions. While preference will be given to members of the Scheduled Caste community, it can also be used by others.

The building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 91,14,500 on 2 kotha land donated by the Anusuchita Jati Parishad.

Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra, Superintendent of Police Manabendra Dev Ray, Director for Scheduled Caste Welfare, Leena Das, Additional Deputy Commissioner Utpal Doley, SDO (Sadar) Manojyoti Kutum, departmental officials and staff were also present at the meeting.
