Drawing competition held among children by JRCBSRS

Dibrugarh, February 8: The drawing competition among the children, organized by Janeta Ramesh Chandra Baruah Smriti Raksha Samity  (JRCBSRS), held at the Dibrugarh Government  Higher Secondary and Multipurpose Girls School, Amolapatty  was formally iugurated by the former Transport Minister and one of the oldest citizens of Dibrugarh, Indeswar Khound by lighting a traditiol lamp before the portrait of Janeta Ramesh Chandra Baruah, in thepresence of all the JRCBSRS members as well as parents , local citizens and family members .

The president, Sarat Borkakoti, and  executive president of the JRCBSRS, Bhudev Phukan offered  floral tribute before the portrait of Ramesh Chandra Baruah.

While talking to The Sentinel, the convener of the art competition and artist pensioner, Sadaruddin Ahmed, proudly claimed that the competition held this year had taken the drawing competition to a new height following participation of more than 700 tiny tots from different parts of the district. “It is observed that parents are gradually putting trust and faith on JRCBSRS and hence they have been encouraging their wards to join the competition,” Ahmed said.

Similarly, the second son of Janeta, Ranjit Baruah (Ranju) , and other family members   while expressing their joy and satisfaction over the number of  participation, expressed gratitude to all office bearers and well-wishers  of the Smriti Raksha Samittee in general and convener and artist pensioner Sadaruddin Ahmed in particular  for their unflinching efforts and support in making the programme  a grand success.

On successful conclusion of the competition , secretary of  JRCBSRS, Dipendra th Kakoti  said that the results  of the competition would be announced on or before March 31 and the winners would be informed through their  school or  over phone, as specified in their respective application.  “The prizes will be distributed on June 30 this year,” he added.
