Drinking Water Project Inaugurated in Lakhimpur District

LAKHIMPUR: A solar energy operated pure drinking water scheme was inaugurated at Sankaradeva Sishu-Bidya Niketan, Bahpati, Azad in Lakhimpur district in order to provide pure drinking water to the students. The scheme was constructed under Corporate Social Responsibility programme of Oil and Natural Gas Commission. The scheme was inaugurated and dedicated to the service of the students by Tileswar Borah, the president of the School Management Committee recently. The event organized on the occasion began with the lighting of ceremonial lamps by vice-president Gitacharya Purandar Baruah in the presence of students, teachers and local people, informed Pradhan Acharya Lohit Chandra Borah.
