Drug awareness camp

Silchar, May 16: Leo Club of Silchar Central organized a drug awareness camp at Narsing Higher Secondary School, Silchar, in association with Disha Foundation recently. Students of IXth and Xth standards along with faculties of the school took an active part in this awareness camp. Joydeep Choudhury, secretary and expert councillor of Disha Foundation discussed the negative aspects of drugs, tobacco and alcoholic beverages. The sole purpose of organizing this camp was to make the students understand and realize the evil effects of addiction and why it is a social evil. The principal of the school appreciated the efforts of Leo Club of Silchar Central.
