Drug dealer bbed

Bongaigaon, May 26: Following information, Government Railway Police of New Bongaigaon bbed one drug dealer on Wednesday night from Sarthebari area of Barpeta district.

Munin Dutta, IC, New Bongaigaon GRP, said that the bbed drug dealer had been identified as Abul Kalam (25), son of Gajibar Rahman, a resident of Kukarpar area under Sarthaibari PS of Barpeta district. “Our team bbed him from his pharmacy on the night of May 25. Actually the case had started from May 6 when we bbed one drug addict-cum-dealer med Hridayanda Pathak from Dn Erkulam Express at New Bongaigaon and recovered few drug tablets from him. After interrogation, he confessed and following his information, we bbed another drug dealer on May 9, identified as Rahizuddin from Sarthebari. Then following both their information, last night we bbed Abul Kalam. Actually Abul used to run an illegal pharmacy where he used to sell these drug tablets. We recovered one pharmacy license whose validity had expired long ago. We have started interrogation and hope to b other persons related to this case within a short time,” he said.
