Drug peddler apprehended with an ample amount of drugs recovered from his residence in Rangia

Rangia: Abul Ali of village Bala Bangaon under Rangia Police Station was apprehended by Rangia Police on Sunday. According to Kangkan Kumar Nath, SDPO Rangia, 120 gm drugs, suspected to be brown sugar, 2.55 kg opium and a currency-counting machine were recovered from the residence of Abul Ali. The monetary value of the seized substances is about Rs 22 lakh.

Acting on a tip-off, Rangia Police, headed by SDPO Nath and OC Rangia, Pranjal Baruah, conducted the operation. Police are interrogating the drug peddler in Rangia Police Station for further information.
