Drug peddlers arrested from their residence in Lakhimpur by a team of Laluk Police

LAKHIMPUR: Two notorious drug peddlers were arrested from their residence in Lakhimpur on Thursday. They have been identified as Pradip Biswas and his younger brother Dipak Biswas, son of late Subal Biswas, residing at Purana Hatkhala of Hurmutty area under Laluk Police Station.

A team of Laluk Police being assisted by the in-charge of Khelmati Police outpost of North Lakhimpur town could arrest the youths involved in that anti-social activities red-handed as per effective assistance and information served by the active members of the Bajarang Dol, Lakhimpur unit. Police seized ten gram suspected Heroin, packed in 89 plastic containers, worth rupees around one lakhs, along with a cash amount of Rs 2,55,000 from their custody. Police also recovered 11 packets of empty plastic containers which are used to pack drugs.
