DSP Anjan Borah's effigy burnt

 Rangia, Feb 13: Activists of All Assam Goriya Yuba Chatra Parishad and other youth and student organizations of indigenous Muslims of Assam burnt the effigy of DSP Anjan Borah on Saturday at NH-31 in Rangia. According to Azijur Rahman, vice president of the organization, Borah allegedly made unparliamentary comments against Muslims on Facebook. The activists demanded immediate arrest of Borah or threatened to call Assam bandh on February 17 in protest. Hundreds of activists joined the protest and shouted slogans against the police officer.
