Duliajan, March 8: The Physics Department of Duliajan College and science students of the college gave a farewell to Professor Hadand Dutta who retired as Head and Associate Professor in the Department of Physics.
A farewell meeting was held recently at the Department of Physics of Duliajan College and it was chaired by Professor Dr Likhon Chandra Borah, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physics, Duliajan College. In the meeting, Dr Niranjan Baruah and Suresh Borah, both retired professors of the college spoke about Prof Dutta’s 36 years of contribution and dedication towards the devolvement of the college.
Prof Dutta had also served as president of Dibrugarh Zone of Assam College Teachers’ Association and he wrote a book titled Kola,Bigyan aru alop Anubhab. He is a lifetime member of Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX).
In the farewell meeting, ren Changmai, Associate Professor of Education, harkatia College, Bhupen Saikia, former vice-president of AXX, Dr Deep Saikia, Principal of Digboi College, Dr.Rajib Konwar, Head of the Department of Physics, Tinsukia College, Chitraranjan Gohain, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Duliajan College, Dr Ganesh Uppadhya, Principal of Margherita College, Dr Binita Pathok, Assistant Professor of Physics, Dibrugarh University and science students of Duliajan College were present.
