DULIAJAN, April 6: The biennial conference of Duliajan Xahitya Xabha (DXX) was held on Sunday at the premises of Public Library, Duliajan.
As per programme in the morning the flag was hoisted by Dipika Kotoky, president of DXX. In the meeting, the old committee was dissolved and selection of new committee with auditor’s report was placed. The new committee was formed with Dr Bimal Sarmah as president and Muhi Kanta Borgohain as head secretary, Sariful Islam and Prasan Hazarika as vice-presidents, Jadumoni Dutta and Bikramaditya Dutta Kakoty as assistant secretaries and Pabitra Borthakur as magazine secretary.
The meeting was chaired by Dipika Kotoky. On the occasion, a souvenir titled Urbija was released by eminent litterateur Mayur Borah, who was also the chief guest.
