E-rickshaw operators in Golaghat flout rules

Golaghat, May 22: Golaghat town has been flooded with e-rickshaw operators. According to sources, multiple e-rickshaws are plying on the streets of Golaghat without registration. Even the operators do not switch on their lights in the evening and some who switch on the light, use light of different quality which is not at all soothing to the eyes of other drivers. Also the horns in many e-rickshaws sound like siren of emergency service vehicles. In the last two days, a pattern has been observed by the e-rickshaw operators who do not have front glass in their vehicles. They are seen using umbrellas in that place. The most surprising fact is that the distance between the pointed rod of the umbrella and e-rickshaw operator’s eye is very less. This practice is dangerous and yet the authorities concerned are yet to take notice of this.
