‘Each village to have school, electricity’ : Bordumsa ADC Sabadam Taying

BORDUMSA: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bordumsa, Sabadam Taying, during his address to the people of Bordumsa sub-division on the occasion of the country’s 72nd Independence Day assured that each village in the subdivision would have a school and every household of Chakma and Hajong community, in particular, would be electrified by 2019.

Taying who was the chief guest on the occasion was addressing the people at the general field at Bordumsa in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh wherein he underlined the various aspects of developmental works accomplished besides expressing his confidence of achieving the feast of success in other segments of socio-economic development, including the rural roads, education, and electrification etc by 2019. Taying also appealed the people including the Gaonburas and panchayat representatives to help to combat the menace of drug abuse in the locality.

Similarly, the tricolor at Diyun Circle was unfurled by MLA Nikh Kamin at Diyun general field in the presence of prominent leaders. According to Lajala Singpho, a renowned public leader and social worker of Diyun Circle, the MLA in his address lamented that in spite of his active support to the cause of the people and concerns for the development of the area, the people particularly the Chakmas and Hajongs have been indifferent towards the MLA. Sources informed that defying the existing anti-incumbency factors in his favors, Kamin regretted that people have not been taking the democratically elected representative into confidence in resolving various issues and deadlocks in the constituency. He, however, claimed that despite stiff resistance he initiated various capacities building programme on income and employment generation strategy through NARCOMP and made open to all without discrimination benefitting hundreds of non-APST too across the said general constituency.

In yet another significant development, a section of hundreds of people exhibiting in-house solidarity cutting across caste, community, creed, religion and politics, the tricolor was hoisted at Jyotipur in Diyun area by former village headman Purna Kumar Chakma at the premises of a newly erected office of Samlung Mossang a politician camping in the area eying for the next assembly election slated in 2019.
