Dibrugarh, April 6: A 21-member new District Committee of All Assam Sonowal Kachari Students’ Union ( AASKSU) was formed with Santanu Sonowal as president and Ritupar Baruah as general secretary in the general meeting which was held on Thursday.
During the meeting , oath was administered to the new district committee members by the president of AASKSU, central committee, Debanda Seleng, in presence of assistant secretary, Bishnu Sonowal and fince secretary Saritra Sonowal who attended the meeting as observers.
Earlier, in the general meeting with Santanu Sonowal as president , the objectives of the meeting were stated by the secretary in-charge , Ritupar Baruah.
With the active participation of officials of the Anchalik Committees and executive representative , several discussions took place on the different dimensions of educatiol development for the students of the community. Speaking on the occasion , the central general secretary of the Union, Raju Sonowal, stated that for the overall educatiol development of the students of the community, the student friends must come together on a single platform towards implementing the planned programmes in the right direction.
The central committee president, Debanda Seleng in his deliberation urged upon every student of the community for becoming an inspiration for the other students? through their educatiol achievements and become respectable citizens? for the country.
Attending the meeting, the vice-president of Sonowal Kachari Jatiya Parishad in his speech emphasized the necessity of preparing a common moral policy for meeting the future challenges, a press release stated.
