Education dept cautions against bogus institutes

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

Itagar, Jun 18: Aruchal Pradesh Directorate of Higher & Technical Education has warned students, parents and guardians against bogus/unrecognized educatiol institutions within the country and abroad.

“It has been observed that a number of students are taking admission in various educatiol institutions, universities within the country and abroad for pursuing higher studies in different fields. But, some of these institutions are not even recognized by the appropriate statutory bodies notified for the purpose by the central Government. Such universities and institutions lure the innocent students by giving misleading advertisements in various newspapers claiming recognition/affiliations by statutory bodies which may not be always correct,” Higher Technical Education director Dr T Padu said in a statement today.

Taking admission or pursuing studies in such universities or educatiol institutions may ruin the life of the students as the degrees awarded by them may not officially be recognized which may ruin the future of students besides leading to unnecessary wastage of time, money and energy, Dr Padu said.

He warned all, especially the students and their parents, not to be misled by such advertisements and advised to verify the authenticity of such universities/institutions before taking admission in them through the official websites of the various statutory bodies which recognize/affiliate these institutions.
